Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Engineer intern for Summer 2027 in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on developing test equipment and setups for aircraft power generation components within the Collins Aerospace, Generator and Emergency Power Test Equipment group.

Onsite work with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to design, build, and validation of test systems. The intern will gain hands-on experience in electrical schematics, harness installation, data acquisition, and upgrading test equipment

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide Electrical Test Setup support and do Electrical Test Setup Troubleshooting.
• Coordinate Test Setups with Test Operators and will be collecting Test Performance Data.
• Assist in Facility upgrade projects.
• Assist in design of Test Stand Safety Interlocks.
• Create electrical schematics to document designs.
