Collins Aerospace, Generator and Emergency Power Test Equipment, is seeking an Electrical Engineer Summer 2027 Intern. The candidate will be responsible for developing test equipment and test setups for development and production of aircraft power generation components. The Test Equipment group supports both test facilities and programs through the entire life cycle of development to production. This is a job that always has a new challenge as Collins Aerospace continues to invent the future of aircraft electric power systems.
The candidate must be an analytical thinker and be adept at design, build, and checkout of test setups. The candidate must have experience working with instrumentation, data recording, and design of electrical systems and harnesses. This position will function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and will support our generator test labs and wind tunnels through the development of new Test Equipment and the support of Production Test Equipment. The ideal candidate will be a creative member of the team who will assist in developing the vision for upgrading our test equipment to the latest technology.This role is onsite, in Rockford, IL.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
