Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer in Plainview, NY, onsite, with 1–2+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience. You will develop test plans, execute tests, troubleshoot systems, and document results for aerospace products.

Duties include EMI/EMC testing, DO-160 and MIL-STD conformance, and cross‑functional collaboration. The role is contract-to-hire, onsite in Plainview, with a competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2+ years of electrical testing, validation, or test engineering.
• Experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, generators).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute electrical test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Coordinate testing with external laboratories and facilities.
• Perform EMI/EMC testing and support compliance activities.
• Test to DO-160, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461 standards.
• Troubleshoot systems, identify root causes, and generate reports.
• Operate oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and generators.
• Review schematics and engineering drawings; document non-conformances.
