Synerfac Technical Staffing seeks an Electrical Engineer for aerospace and reverse engineering in Hauppauge, NY. You will work on aircraft electrical/electromechanical components, reverse engineering, failure analysis, and FAA certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 2+ years in design, manufacturing, or quality.
Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with analog/digital interfaces, electrical analysis, and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Familiarity with NI/LabVIEW, MCCDAQ/DASYLab, or MATLAB; strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Reverse engineer aircraft electrical/electromechanical components by creating CAD models, sketches, dimensional analyses, production drawings, and technical documentation.
Inspect and analyze sample parts, research component functions and failure modes, establish material/performance specifications and tolerances, and develop repair procedures for failed in-service equipment.
Develop and support automated test equipment (ATE) for aircraft electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using laboratory test equipment and data acquisition systems.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, manufacturing, procurement, certification teams, and FAA Designated Engineering Representatives to support projects and complete FAA certification packages.
