Job summary

Mindscope is seeking an Electrical Engineer to research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems for aerospace and defense applications.

The role emphasizes MIL-STD-461 EMC, MIL-STD-704 power quality, and DO-160 emissions/susceptibility compliance, with duties spanning schematics, BOMs, PCB layouts, wiring, troubleshooting, and field support. A BSEE with 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience with aerospace/defense programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design electrical components, equipment, and systems for aerospace and defense.
Prepare schematics, BOMs, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet form, fit, and safety requirements.
Design test setups and qualification/production support equipment.
Direct manufacturing, installation, and testing to meet specs.
Provide sustaining engineering and field support as needed.
Support quality audits and regulatory compliance procedures.
Coordinate with procurement on component obsolescence and sourcing.
