Job summary

Ontic is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Chatsworth, CA to develop and sustain aerospace electrical/electromechanical products. You will own design assignments, translate requirements into manufacturable solutions, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and other engineering teams.

Responsibilities include creating CAD models, handling BOMs, supporting new product introduction, and solving design-for-manufacture challenges, with ~50% travel over 18 months.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience with design engineering in design/manufacturing environments.
• Experience creating/managing CAD drawings and controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify electrical/electromechanical product designs to meet lifecycle requirements.
• Investigate performance, obsolescence, and component availability; propose solutions.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs with data integrity.
• Support new product introduction, prototypes, and testing plans.
• Perform root cause investigations and implement design changes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers to resolve issues.
