Job summary

Williams International is actively seeking an Electrical Assembly Soldering technician for the 2nd shift to join our manufacturing team in Pontiac, MI. This role focuses on soldering and wire crimping of electrical assemblies for gas turbine engines, with responsibilities spanning from following manufacturing plans to precision inspection.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in soldering and wire harness assembly, with the ability to lift up to 50 lb and operate under magnification when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical soldering and wire crimping.
• Ability to assemble circuit boards and wire harnesses.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing planning instructions.
• Must have fine motor skills for detailed work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull 60 pounds; reach above shoulder height.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required.
• ESD-conscious handling and packing per policy.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements.
• Perform wire cutting, stripping, dressing ends and other simple cable operations.
• Solder wires and other electronic components.
• Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or magnifying device as required.
• Package parts per handling requirements, including ESD requirements.
• Verify dimensions and/ or performance using standard measuring instruments and HASS equipment.
