Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Pottstown, PA is offering a 12-week Electrical Engineer Intern program. You will join the Test Equipment Engineering Team to design, develop, and test electrical systems for unmanned aircraft and robotics, gaining real-world experience.

The internship emphasizes hands-on hardware/software integration, test plan development, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Relocation/housing reimbursement may be available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s degree program.
• Academic or personal project experience related to power electronics, EMC/PCB design, microcontrollers or embedded systems.
• Exposure to hardware/software integration and testing is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and troubleshooting of test equipment for PCBAs, subsystems, and full systems.
• Help develop and deploy test software to support hardware integration and validation.
• Support maintenance and upgrade of test systems used during production.
• Participate in test plan creation, requirements documentation, and validation strategies.
• Assist in executing tests on power systems, avionics, and propulsion components.
• Learn and apply engineering best practices and documentation standards.
• Support hardware bring-up, test station calibration, and system verification.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers.
