Job summary

RAM Aerospace is seeking an Electron Beam Welder Operator to perform specialized welding on exotic metals used in mission-critical aerospace components. You will follow detailed instructions and collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot and optimize welding processes.

The role emphasizes precision, assembly accuracy, and attention to detail to ensure performance and reliability in flight, space, and defense applications. Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work on-site in St.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in troubleshooting safety, quality, and technical issues.
• Prior experience in a repetitive manufacturing or production environment is required.
• Direct EB welding experience is highly preferred, but experience with precision aerospace TIG welding or CNC machine operation is strongly considered.

Responsibilities

• EB Welding Operations: Set up and operate advanced Electron Beam welding equipment to join precision aerospace components.
• Pre-Weld Preparation: Meticulous cleaning of components, fixturing, and tack welding to ensure exact alignment before entering the vacuum chamber.
• Process Development & Troubleshooting: Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to troubleshoot issues and refine welding parameters.
• Production & Quality: Maintain production pace while meeting aerospace quality and cost requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate with co-workers and cross-functional teams to resolve safety, quality, or technical concerns on the shop floor.
