Job summary

Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace Company, is seeking an Electron Beam Welder for the 2nd shift in South Windsor, CT. You will set up and operate EB welding equipment, weld aerospace components to tight tolerances, verify fit-up, and document results, ensuring AS9100 quality compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience operating electron beam welding equipment in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, weld symbols and work instructions.
• Experience under regulated quality systems (AS9100, ISO, NADCAP) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb and work in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate electron beam welding equipment with vacuum chamber prep and beam parameter configuration.
• Perform EB welds on precision aerospace components with tight tolerances.
• Verify joint fit‑up, cleanliness, and material condition prior to welding.
• Conduct in‑process monitoring of weld quality and adjust parameters as required.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100, customer specs, and internal procedures; support inspections and records.
• Ensure safety, 5S/Lean housekeeping and proper tooling, fixtures, and consumables.
