Job summary

AGA Precision Systems LLC in Santa Ana, CA seeks a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure aerospace components meet customer, engineering, and AS9100 quality standards through accurate dimensional inspection and documentation.

Responsibilities include incoming, in-process, and final inspections, reading engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and ensuring tool calibration and traceability. 7+ years of experience and strong data accuracy are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of dimensional inspection experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Proficient with manual inspection tools and reading CMM reports.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and blueprint interpretation skills.
• Experience inspecting aerospace materials (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel).
• Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 QM systems.
• Attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• English literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components.
• Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM reports.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions per AS9100.
• Support first-article inspections (FAI) and AS9102 documentation.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure traceability and calibration status of all measurement tools.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in a 5S environment.
• Adhere to ITAR, AS9100, and ISO 9001 requirements.
