Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego seeks an experienced Quality Inspector to perform dimensional inspections per work orders and drawings, using precision hand tools and surface plates. You will read blueprints, verify identities and dimensions, and document results.

Level 1/2 qualifications include high school diploma, GD&T under ASME Y14.5, experience with tight-tolerance components, and familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001. CMM/FARO and composite experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 preferred.
• Experience inspecting tight tolerance machined components.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections per work order and drawings.
• Use precision hand tools and surface plate setups.
• Inspect purchased parts for conformity to standards and processing requirements.
• Verify identity and dimensions using micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
• Maintain records of inspection results and pass/fail decisions.
• Inspect with complex geometries and use inspection equipment as needed.
