Job summary

Barron Industries in Oxford, MI is seeking an experienced Dimensional Inspector to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing team. You will inspect production castings and first article parts, operating CMMs and precision instruments to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications.

Ideal candidates have CMM operation experience, familiarity with PC-DMIS and other metrology software, and the ability to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMM inspection and associated software.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Minimum 2 years of dimensional inspection experience.
• AS9100 quality systems experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM to inspect parts and generate reports.
• Use manual measuring instruments to inspect parts.
• Assist in sample submissions, including First Articles deviation/waivers.
• Perform dock audits and floor inspections.
• Maintain calibration of all measuring equipment.
• Follow AS9100 systems and procedures for your department.
• Participate in continuous improvement using AVOs, CARs, and ECRs.
