Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering team. You will contribute to the design, verification, and validation of airborne radar hardware for defense applications, working on RTL development, FPGA/ASIC design, simulations, and hardware bring-up.

Ideal candidates have a passion for digital hardware, aerospace systems, radar technologies, and solving complex engineering challenges in collaborative teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, and/or VHDL for RTL design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital hardware blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL (RTL)
• Develop RTL for FPGA and/or ASIC-based systems
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews
• Create and execute simulation testbenches for functional verification
• Debug RTL, simulation, synthesis, and hardware integration issues
• Collaborate with verification, physical design, firmware, and system engineering teams
• Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and silicon validation activities
• Analyze timing, area, power, and performance tradeoffs
• Document designs, test plans, and engineering results
• Learn and apply industry-standard EDA tools and design methodologies
