Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in El Segundo, CA. You will support VHDL-based firmware development and hardware integration for advanced airborne radar systems, with potential FPGA work and system-level debugging.

Applicants must be enrolled in Electrical Engineering or related STEM and have access to 60+ academic credits. Hands-on lab experience and familiarity with C/C++ MATLAB are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical or or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design, testing, and validation activities
• Support lab work, including measurements, test setups, and documentation
• Contribute to electrical engineering project tasks as assigned
• Participate in team meetings, reviews, and technical discussions
• Maintain accurate records and follow established engineering procedures
