Job summary

Azora is seeking a Technician (Detector and Electronics) to build, test, and characterize detector subsystems for aerospace receivers. You will work hands-on with photodetectors, low-noise electronics, and flight avionics, from board-level assembly to environmental testing.

The role requires 3+ years as an electronics technician, adherence to aerospace standards, and experience with lab equipment such as DMMs, VNAs, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an electronics technician, including space-flight/high-reliability electronics.
• Certified or certifiable to soldering/workmanship standards (J-STD-001 / NASA-STD-8739).
• Experience with bench equipment: DMMs, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and rework electronic hardware to aerospace standards.
• Handle sensitive detectors and low-noise electronics.
• Run detector and receiver characterization with calibrated sources.
• Build and operate automated test setups and record results with traceability.
• Support board bring-up, debugging, and environmental test campaigns.
• Maintain ESD-safe work areas and calibration records.
