Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Columbus, GA is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support compressor blade and vane design across CIPTs and ESTO. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to meet requirements and drive production improvements in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

The role emphasizes design analysis, process improvements, and collaboration with quality, CIPT, and ESTO leadership to deliver reliable engine hardware for both commercial and military programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 5 years of relevant design experience.
• Experience in aerospace engine design or similar high-precision environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform compressor blade and vane design activities within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Evaluate product improvement opportunities and engineering changes addressing design, quality, and producibility.
• Conduct design analysis supporting quality nonconformances and field investigations; identify root causes and improvements.
• Support Airfoil 2.0 incorporation at Columbus Forge; collaborate to reduce nonconformances and improve manufacturability.
• Prepare and present technical recommendations and program status to CIPTs and ESTO leadership.
