Bergen Cable Technology, Inc. is a privately held aerospace manufacturing company seeking a Design Engineer to support the engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams.

This position is responsible for translating customer requirements into manufacturable products while maintaining the integrity of engineering data throughout the product lifecycle. The Design Engineer serves as the technical bridge between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Planning by evaluating new opportunities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of AutoCAD experience.
• 2 years in a mechanical engineering role.
• Experience working with an ERP system involving Bills of Material and Routings.
• Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable products while maintaining engineering data throughout the product lifecycle.
• Serve as a technical bridge between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Planning to evaluate new opportunities and administer engineering documentation per AS9100 D.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routers within the ERP system; review production performance and propose routing improvements.
• Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain fixture, tooling, and manufacturing documentation.
