Job summary

Trek Connect in New Jersey seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support development, production, and continuous improvement of cable and electronic assembly products, aligning processes with AS9100C, J STD 001, MIL STD 2042, and IPC WHMA A 620 Class 3.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and standardized methods, drive lean initiatives, and ensure high quality and efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 4 yr college degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• AS9100D/ISO9001:2008 or IPC/WHMA-A-620, Class 3 experience is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing experience and quality analysis skills are required.
• 2+ years of electrical or aerospace engineering experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products.
• Perform design reviews to ready products for manufacturing and production.
• Develop build instructions for copper, coax, and fiber cable and electronic assemblies with step-by-step routers.
• Possibly perform physical build of cable assemblies for instruction development and improvements.
• Utilize P21 and production order systems to evaluate build success and drive improvements.
• Continuously improve legacy work instruction packages for customized builds.
• Troubleshoot assembly problems, test failures, and tooling issues on the production floor.
• Develop training plans emphasizing lean manufacturing, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, AS9100D/ISO 9001:2008 quality standards.
• Support tooling, molding, fixturing, and harness boards with measurement and testing.
