Job summary

Astronics-PECO in Clackamas, Oregon, is seeking a Designer Drafter to translate engineer data into precise 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and PDM. You will create assemblies, verify parts, and help ensure designs meet manufacturing standards.

Requires an associate degree in CAD and 5–10 years of related drafting experience, plus strong SolidWorks skills and familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in CAD or equivalent preferred.
• 5–10 years related drafting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of drafting techniques and engineering terminology.
• Proven expertise with SolidWorks and ability to learn SolidWorks PDM quickly.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models and assemblies in SolidWorks from data provided by engineers.
• Create 2D drawings as required.
• Generate new designs per project requirements.
• Verify parts and drawings using SolidWorks CAD for PDM storage.
• Observe safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions.
