Job summary

Astronics-PECO, located in Clackamas, Oregon, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and test mechanical and electromechanical systems. You will work on existing product lines, emphasizing manufacturability, reliability, and cost reduction through design improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 1–5 years of related experience and is proficient in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), GD&T, and numerical methods. Knowledge of Aerospace standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• SolidWorks CAD proficiency; GD&T & tolerance analysis knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical or electromechanical design using CAD software.
• Design components and assemblies focusing on manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Research, develop, and test mechanical/electromechanical equipment and systems.
• Perform calculations to size and validate components and designs.
• Apply applicable national standards in design and testing of products.
