Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Edwards, CA is seeking a senior quality engineer to provide product quality support across delivery, maintenance, and modifications of aerospace systems. You will interpret standards, govern compliance, and collaborate with Users, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sustainment to ensure quality across the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, statistical methods, and process surveillance, with a minimum of 10 years' F-16 platform experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in product quality support and sustainment in aerospace/defense.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Minimum of 10 years experience with the F-16 Aircraft Platform.
• Green Belt, Black Belt, ASQ CQE or CMQQE certification preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and DCMA 8210.1 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enforce industry standards and customer regulations for all product operations.
• Oversee contractual compliance for company and third-party maintenance activities.
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes and equipment.
• Apply statistical analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct aircraft ground-damage investigations and lead RCA with corrective plans.
• Validate and investigate corrective-action requests (CARs).
• Develop and review flight-test processes and procedures.
• Perform process surveillances and audits; prepare for external inspections.
• Manage configuration control for assigned aircraft.
• Collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement.
