Job summary

Plug and Play Tech Center seeks a Ventures Associate to source startups for the Aerospace & Defense vertical and support deal teams on new investments. You will drive market research, engage with corporate partners, and help build out the ecosystem and portfolio.

A STEM background with startup or finance experience is preferred. You will work with startups and corporations to identify opportunities, mentor companies, and accelerate product development within a dynamic, fast-paced environment at

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years in a startup environment or private finance.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking; strategic, analytical, creative reasoning.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team in a dynamic setting.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Source Pre-seed, Seed, and Series A startups for investment opportunities and accelerator programs.
Assess startups using technology and Aerospace & Defense domain knowledge.
Mentor startups on product-market fit, fundraising, and scaling.
Conduct market research and track industry trends relevant to Aerospace & Defense.
Support deal teams and build networks of investors to back portfolio companies.
Identify opportunities for corporate partners and accelerate pilots or proofs-of-concept.
