Plug and Play Tech Center in Washington, DC is seeking a Ventures Associate to source startups for the Aerospace & Defense vertical and support investment deals. You will work with startups, corporations, and investors to build the ecosystem and portfolio.

You will conduct market research, mentor startups on fundraising and scaling, and coordinate events for demos and mentor sessions, while expanding a network of venture partners.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a startup environment or within private finance.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and creative thinking.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, unstructured environment
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the capability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Source Pre-seed, Seed, and Series A startups for investment opportunities and partnerships.
• Assess technology and Aerospace & Defense potential in startups.
• Mentor startups on market entry, fundraising and scaling.
• Analyze market dynamics and industry trends; track competitive landscape.
• Support the deal team on investment opportunities.
• Build and connect with Venture Capital networks and investors.
• Connect startups with industry advisors, vendors, and service providers to accelerate development.
