IDEX Corporation, a global leader in engineering solutions, seeks a Process Engineer for its Mott aerospace & defense business in Farmington, CT. You will partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing to industrialize new builds from prototype to production, defining manufacturable flows and generating essential documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of process, manufacturing, or industrial engineering experience in Aerospace & Defense, high-precision or regulated environments.
• Experience developing manufacturing routes, BOMs, process detail sheets, standard work, control plans, FMEA, and production readiness deliverables.
• Experience with CAD modeling, fixture and tooling design, equipment specification, validation, or commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define manufacturing routes, bills of material, and process flow plans for new Aerospace & Defense products from prototype through production release.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, control plans, standard work, and related manufacturing records to ensure repeatable, compliant builds.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering and Supply Chain to evaluate design-for-manufacturability, optimize build parameters, and scale processes from prototypes to production.
• Create and implement process controls that meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and internal performance expectations.
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects that reduce lead time, improve quality, lower cost, and expand manufacturing capability.
