Frey Consulting Group is seeking a Drafter II to support aerospace and defense programs. You will create accurate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models from existing components, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD and DoD drawing standards.

Work with design engineers and manufacturing teams to develop TDPs, GD&T, and manufacturing drawings. You may assist with reverse engineering and support DoD sustainment efforts; travel to customer sites is estimated at 10%.

Formación

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or drafting.
• 3+ years in mechanical drafting, reverse engineering, or TDP work.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or Siemens NX.
• Experience with MIL-STD and DoD drawing/documentation requirements.
• Knowledge of ITAR/DFARS and GD&T fundamentals.
• Willingness to travel ~10% to customer locations.

Responsabilidades

• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models from existing components.
• Develop and maintain Technical Data Packages (TDPs) per MIL-STD-31000.
• Produce manufacturing drawings with GD&T, BOM, and material details.
• Assist with reverse engineering for military and aerospace platforms.
• Interpret measurements from precision equipment (CMMs, calipers, etc.).
• Collaborate with design, program management, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Apply ITAR/EAR controls in handling technical data and drawings.
• Maintain revision histories and drawing databases per CM practices.
• Prepare documentation for obsolete parts and DMSMS considerations.
• Support design reviews, FAI, and prototype development as needed.
