Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking a Drafter-CAD Operator I, II, or III to support the Arnold Air Force Base program. You will create and modify piping layouts, electrical drawings, and building layouts using CAD software, collaborating with engineers on complex designs.

Responsibilities include producing complete drawings, 3D models, and as-built documentation, while ensuring accuracy and AEDC drafting standards. U.S. Citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Two semesters of drafting or CAD instruction or 9 college credits in CAD, engineering graphics, or drafting.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain/maintain active security clearance for AEDC access.
• Drafter/CAD Operator I: 1+ year CAD drafting experience; II: 2+ years; III: 4+ years or equivalent education.
• Preferred: experience with 3D CAD tools and AEDC practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete engineering drawings and diagrams with sufficient detail for shop drawings and construction.
• Generate 3-D CAD models from information provided by others.
• Coordinate designs with engineers and other designers.
• Manage job drawing files and records; perform basic calculations.
• Produce “as-built” drawings reflecting construction changes.
