Job summary

KITCO Fiber Optics, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our Engineering team in the aerospace and defense sector.

You will create, modify, and manage 2D and 3D drawings and models to support engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional groups, ensuring precision for government contracts. You'll collaborate with engineers, maintain drawing standards, prepare BOMs and technical manuals, and help in design reviews.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of CAD experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA; strong GD&T understanding; U.S. citizenship for ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for aerospace components and systems using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate technical documentation.
• Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with military and industry specifications.
• Support manufacturing, procurement, and QA by providing accurate design data.
• Assist in creating BOMs, technical manuals, and other supporting documentation; participate in design reviews; archive CAD files per data management protocols.
