Job summary

US Tool Group is seeking an experienced professional to join our on-site team at a major manufacturing facility. The role emphasizes CNC programming, tooling optimization, and aerospace material knowledge, with heavy travel to customer sites and strong collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

The candidate will review product specifications, demonstrate new tools, and support new product introductions while driving process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Greater than 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry that uses cutting tools.
• Knowledge of or experience with abrasive machining preferred.
• Experience with Aerospace high temp alloys.
• Understanding of Cutting Tool Geometry.
• Understanding of different tooling material and coatings.
• CNC programming experience.
• Experience in cost saving project development.
• Experience in process troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and comprehend documented material, including tool drawings and technical information.
• Experience with corrective action programs.
• Experience interacting with and presenting to high-level customer contacts.
• Strong analytic skills (Excel and data analysis).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must have strong technical knowledge of CBN, Ceramic and Diamond cutting applications.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Modeling or drawing skills a plus.
• Knowledge of the aerospace market a plus.
• Ability and desire to travel (75% time spent to travel).
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Introduction and demonstration of new products.
• Application support of new products.
• Improve existing processes and applications by reviewing objectives and specifications.
• Recommend changes and make modifications to tooling, applications and processes of machining as needed.
• Support of reconditioning program.
• Troubleshooting of issues relating to product application; Facilitation of manufacturer visits and the introduction of their products to the customer.
• Standing 35%, Walking 35%.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs. For material over 70 lbs., a team lift or mechanical lift is advised.
