RTX is seeking a Tool Design Engineer to develop and maintain manufacturing tools for advanced aerospace systems. You will create CAD models, GD&T callouts, and drawings while working closely with Manufacturing, Stress, and Component Design teams to translate requirements into robust, user-friendly tools for large Nacelle structures.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of CAD software experience for Mechanical Design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with engineering package releases in PLM systems.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain manufacturing tools to support production of Nacelle hardware.
• Generate CAD models with GD&T callouts and drawing symbol annotations.
• Collaborate with aerospace engineers to understand requirements and improvements.
• Translate user feedback into practical tool improvements.
• Document tool functionality, decisions, and verification results.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and configuration-management practices.
• Report status to project leaders and coordinate with internal customers.
