Job summary

RTX is seeking a CTS engineer in East Hartford, CT, to work directly with airline customers and engine overhaul facilities, joining cross-functional teams to address engine in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.

You will support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly, assist Airlines with Aircraft on the Ground (AOGs), and coordinate technical data for engine manuals and inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required
• 5+ years of Engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement corrective action for engine related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
• Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
• Support Airlines to resolve Aircrafts on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
• Initiate technical data development for engine/module inspections and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
• Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications’ issues related to their hardware.
• Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
• Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs – Customer Part Returns)
• Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs)
