Job summary
603 Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Estimator to join our quoting team. This role reviews customer RFQs and develops accurate manufacturing cost estimates for complex cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies.
You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to develop competitive quotations while ensuring technical and commercial accuracy. This hands-on position leverages AI-assisted quoting tools to accelerate quote development, while
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- Two+ years in manufacturing, estimating, or a similar technical role.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs; proficient with Excel.
Responsibilities
- Review RFQs, drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
- Develop labor estimates for assemblies and box builds.
- Create routings and estimate production labor.
- Coordinate with Purchasing for supplier pricing.
- Collaborate with Engineering to clarify requirements.
- Use AI-assisted quoting tools to accelerate quotes.
- Maintain quote documentation in ERP.
- Manage multiple RFQs with aggressive turnaround.
