Job summary

Qarbon Aerospace is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator in Red Oak, TX to develop and maintain accurate labor cost estimates for composite fabrication and assembly. You will translate engineering requirements into labor hours, staffing plans, and production rates, collaborating with engineering, operations and program management.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in aerospace cost estimating, a strong Industrial Engineering background, and proficiency with CATIA, SEER 3D, SAP or Apriso.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Typically 10+ years of cost estimating or aerospace manufacturing experience for senior-level consideration.
• Active clearance highly preferred; eligible to obtain/maintain one as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed labor cost estimates for composite fabrication and assembly operations.
• Analyze engineering models, drawings, specifications, routings, and plans to determine labor hours and production rates.
• Perform capacity analysis across manufacturing cells to assess labor availability and bottlenecks.
• Conduct capital equipment utilization analysis to support production projections.
• Translate scenarios into staffing plans and labor curves for make/buy decisions and scheduling.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and program management to validate labor standards and efficiency factors.
• Create and maintain labor estimating models and historical labor data.
