Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Cost Analyst II to join our Estimating/Cost Analysis team. You will develop material and labor cost estimates for aerospace and defense products, repairs and proposals, and work with engineering, supply chain and pricing to deliver competitive bids.

The role emphasizes cost integrity in Visual ERP, identifying drivers and risks, and presenting defendable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Requires cost estimating experience and ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing data.
• Proficient with Excel for cost models, data analysis and reconciliation.
• Experience evaluating supplier quotations and historical cost data for reasonableness.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to manage competing deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed material, labor, and outside-processing cost estimates for new/production/repair/proposal requirements.
• Build and validate BOMs from Visual ERP into Excel, review quantities and routings.
• Analyze supplier RFQs, quotations, lead times and cost breaks with Supply Chain.
• Develop defendable cost recommendations using work orders, actual labor and engineering docs.
• Coordinate estimating activities with PM, Engineering and Purchasing to meet timelines.
• Maintain RFQ costs and supporting records in Visual ERP with traceability.
