Job summary
Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) seeks a seasoned Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade automated equipment across aerospace manufacturing. You will interpret electrical schematics, diagnose control issues, and work with engineering to implement improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance.
The role requires 5–7 years of PLC/automation experience, strong safety focus, and capability to work with Rockwell, Siemens, LabVIEW, Yaskawa, and GE Proficy in a high‑tech
Qualifications
- AS degree or technical college completed.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Proven experience programming and troubleshooting electrical control systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and aerospace context.
- 5–7 years of hands‑on PLC and automated controls maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and install automated equipment enabling unique composite production.
- Identify and implement upgrades under engineering direction.
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
- Diagnose electrical control issues and minimize downtime.
- Lead installation, modification, commissioning of electrical systems.
