Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Contracts Administrator to support the AV Contracts Department in Kentucky. The role covers bid and proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and ongoing administration for both new and sustaining programs.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, support amendments and data entry, and manage contract closeouts. A basic understanding of FAR/DFARS and clarity in documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant aerospace/defense/government contracting experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret preferred).
• Knowledge of federal acquisition process and regulations (FAR, DFARS).

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, Contracts team and leadership on bid and proposal prep, contract negotiation and administration for products/services.
• Perform lifecycle contract duties: proposal review, pre/post award negotiations, modifications, close-outs and program support.
• Review and redline NDAs, Sales/Purchase Agreements, Subcontracts, Master Agreements and FAR-based contracts or OTAs.
• Support contract negotiations with contracts leadership and ensure terms comply with regulations and policies.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned customer portfolio and interface on pre-contract and active contracts.
• Monitor long-term contract performance and summarize obligations for internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate flow-downs of terms with program management, engineering, finance, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.
