Job summary

Lycoming Engines, part of Textron, is seeking an entry-level engineer to help develop and document engine designs and to support cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, and Quality. You will contribute from day one on real projects and grow through mentorship and structured development opportunities.

The role involves creating and maintaining engine BOMs, reviewing engineering changes, and assisting with FAA certification efforts.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T drafting standards
• Experience with BOM creation/maintenance in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of engineering assignments related to new product development and/or enhancement of existing products
• Creation and maintenance of engine bill of materials (BOM)
• Review engineering changes / revisions to both engineering procedures and drawings
• Create and execute engineering change orders (ECOs) using PLM software
• Consult with customers on designs and specifications
• Assist ODA group with FAA certification effort
• Coordinate activities with Director, Configuration Management and Regulations to ensure business and development goals will be achieved
• May be required to interface with suppliers
