Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to work on the Terran R program. You will drill precision holes in composites and metals, assemble hardware with adhesives and fasteners, and hand-trim composites using appropriate tooling. You’ll help optimize production lines and uphold safety standards.

This is a 1st shift, 5:00AM-3:30PM PT with a baseline 50-hour week and potential overtime. Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of composites drilling and mechanical assembly in aerospace or similar.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication with engineering and production.
• Ability to operate forklifts or cranes for critical lifts of flight hardware and tooling.
• Ability to set up and operate calibrated tools like torque wrenches and precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drill precision holes in composite and metallic components with appropriate tooling.
• Assemble hardware using structural adhesives and fasteners; install inserts or rivets.
• Hand trim composites hardware with cutoff wheels and routers.
• Uphold safety and shop cleanliness standards.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all team members.
