Job summary

Chromalloy is hiring an Aerospace Composites Process Engineer to support the repair and overhaul of critical gas turbine components used in commercial aerospace. You will develop and optimize composite layup and repair processes, ensuring structural integrity, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing operations.

You will provide hands-on engineering support, lead root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering; aerospace experience preferred.
• Experience with composite manufacturing, repair, or advanced materials processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and optimize composite layup and repair processes for aerospace components.
• Create and improve procedures for composite repair methods to ensure quality and repeatability.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations and process capability improvements.
• Lead investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to drive improvements.
• Ensure production readiness of composite manufacturing and repair equipment.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and gauging to enhance safety and efficiency.
