Job summary

Neon Aero seeks a skilled Composite Layup Technician to perform intricate carbon fiber and fiberglass layups on-site in Manchester, CT. You will follow approved engineering and manufacturing requirements while maintaining strict material traceability and quality controls.

Ideal candidates bring at least five years of aerospace layup experience, proficiency with dry and wet layup processes, tooling prep, debulking, and vacuum checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least five years of hands-on composite layup experience in aerospace.
• Ability to execute complex layups with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and ply tables.
• Knowledge of dry and wet layup, debulking, vacuum checks, cure preparation and related processes.
• Experience with manufacturing documentation and lot traceability.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality practices and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex composite layups to approved engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain material traceability and rigorous quality records.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to ensure reliable aerospace hardware.
• Contribute to first-article builds and process improvements.
• Support safe, organized, on-site manufacturing and maintain production takt time.
