Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years prior experience in composite layup, aerospace manufacturing, or related field preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform hand layup of composite materials, including prepregs, fabrics, adhesives, and films to assemble multi-piece and complex molds to yield conforming composite structures.
• Preparation of molds and tools for layup process, to include application of sealants and release agents.
• Ensure proper fiber orientation, ply sequence, material placement, and part configuration.
• Perform vacuum bagging, debulking, and preparation for curing processes including leak checks.
• Verify thermocouples are in good working condition.
• Maintain material handling controls, including freezer life, out-time tracking, and cleanliness requirements.
• Inspect work for conformity to specifications prior to cure.
• Complete required manufacturing and quality documentation.
• Support rework and continuous improvement activities
• May assist with composite oven processing or autoclave operation, including final demolding of parts after curing
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality system requirements
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE usage and handling hazardous materials (resins)
• Adhere to all safety regulations and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention policies
