Job summary

General Plastics & Composites LP in Houston, TX is seeking a Composite Manufacturing Lead Technician (Aerospace) to lead day-to-day aerospace composite production, including lay-up, vacuum bagging, curing, autoclave processing, trimming, and inspection preparation.

You will provide technical leadership to the lay-up cell and supervisor roles, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and help develop work instructions and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of composite manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Aerospace composites manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with autoclave operations, vacuum bagging, and process documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily aerospace manufacturing activities across lay-up, vacuum bagging, curing, autoclave operations, trimming, and assembly.
• Direct the daily activities of Cutting Table Operator, Lay-Up Technician, and Autoclave Operator.
• Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met.
• Assist with startup, qualification, installation, and operational readiness activities for the aerospace lay-up cell and equipment.
• Train, coach, and mentor aerospace manufacturing personnel on procedures, quality, safety, and process controls.
