Job summary

GP&C in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Manufacturing Leader to oversee daily aerospace lay-up, curing, and autoclave operations. You will direct the Cutting Table Operator, Lay-Up Technician, and Autoclave Operator, assign work, set priorities, and ensure production schedules meet customer requirements.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, process development, and training to uphold AS9100 quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of composite manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Aerospace composites manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with autoclave operations, vacuum bagging, and process documentation preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily aerospace manufacturing activities across lay-up, curing, and autoclave operations.
• Direct and prioritize work for Cutting Table Operator, Lay-Up Technician, and Autoclave Operator.
• Coordinate workflow between cutting, lay-up, curing, autoclave, trimming, and inspection.
• Train, coach, and evaluate personnel to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
• Support startup activities and development of manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100, customer specs, and regulatory requirements.
