Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in composite fabrication, knowledge of resin systems, and the ability to work closely with engineers to refine manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Must have US citizenship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years direct composite fabrication experience.
• Experience with hand lay-up of carbon fiber using custom molds.
• Knowledge of wet lay-up, prepregs, vacuum bagging, resin infusion.
• Background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototype and low-volume production composite components using carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and other composites.
• Perform precision hand lay-up of carbon fiber into custom molds.
• Prepare molds, tooling, and materials for fabrication (cutting, kitting, vacuum bagging, curing).
• Select and apply resins and reinforcement materials based on design.
• Execute finishing operations including trimming, bonding, sanding, machining, and inspection.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop and improve processes for prototype and production parts.
• Maintain high workmanship standards with safety compliance.
• Document fabrication processes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
