Job summary

AXILLON AEROSPACE is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in California for a temporary 4-6 month assignment on 2nd shift (2:30pm-12:00am). The role involves pre-stacking, kitting, presses, molding, layup, and deflashing of aerospace composite materials for production contracts.

Qualified candidates have 2-5 years in manufacturing or composite fabrication; aerospace experience is preferred. The position offers a 9/80 workweek with overtime as needed and a California salary range of $25.00–$28.00

Qualifications

• Must have 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, layup or composite fabrication; aerospace experience preferred.
• Experience with layup, composite fabrication, or bonding processes is desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift up to 40 lbs, and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg fabric, uni-tape, SMC, BMC and dry materials.
• Assemble, demold, bond components and perform finishing by filling, sanding, and cleaning.
• Use hand and power tools and measurement devices for production operations.
• Maintain production records and logs with traceability information.
• Support process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.
