Job summary

Axillon Aerospace in San Diego, CA seeks a Manufacturing Technician for a 4–6 month assignment on 2nd shift. You will perform layup, curing and assembly of aerospace composite parts, follow strict instructions and maintain traceability records.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, layup or composite fabrication.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unaided and perform physical requirements.
• Must be willing to work overtime when required.
• PC proficiency in Word and Excel preferred; Outlook/email proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg fabric and related materials.
• Assemble, demold, bond components, and perform finishing tasks.
• Use hand and power tools and measurement devices for production operations.
• Follow written instructions and maintain production records with traceability.
• Ensure material shelf-life and proper handling; identify non-conformances.
• Collaborate with leads and engineers to address root causes and improvements.
• Maintain tools, molds, machines, and production areas in good order.
• Support process improvements and lean initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
