Job summary

AMI Precision Machining in Pomona, CA, is seeking an Aerospace Component Edge-Finishing Specialist to deburr, blend edges, and finish tight-tolerance parts.

You will read blueprints, use hand tools and machinery, and ensure parts meet drawings before sign-off, while maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues, document work, and uphold AS9100-style quality practices as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in aerospace manufacturing is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in deburring, grinding, polishing, metal finishing, or precision machining is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems is beneficial (exposure or proficiency is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform precise deburring on aerospace parts using hand tools and machinery to achieve clean edges and smooth finishes.
• Compare each part to engineering drawings and specifications, inspecting dimensions and finish quality before sign-off.
• Keep your bench and the surrounding area organized, tidy, and safe throughout the shift.
• Work closely with engineers and quality personnel to resolve nonconformances or drawing ambiguities.
• Accurately document work performed and maintain production records.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies without compromise.

Day-in-the-Life: Aerospace Component Edge-Finishing SpecialistStep onto the shop floor at AMI Precision Machining in Pomona and start your shift by reviewing the day’s travelers and blueprints.
