Job summary

RTX's Electric Power Systems group seeks a future technical leader to guide next‑gen aerospace communication interfaces and data bus architectures. This role leads multidisciplinary teams, shapes technical strategy, builds development roadmaps, and drives program execution with engineering leadership.

You will direct systems, hardware, and software efforts, own interface strategy, decompose requirements, and push for efficient, high‑quality outcomes while mentoring engineers and presenting to

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Electrical engineering background with aerospace comms standards experience.
• Experience in Ethernet/CAN hardware design, analysis, or verification.
• Strong signal integrity knowledge and lab debugging tools proficiency.
• Experience with estimation, scheduling, Agile (Scrum/SAFe), and budgeting.
• Ability to create roadmaps and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with DOORS, Synergy, JIRA and modern VCS practices.
• Experience with automation languages like Python, VBA, XML, or DXL.
• Familiarity with aviation data bus design assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction across systems, hardware, software, and test to architect robust solutions.
• Own interface I/O and communications strategy across platforms.
• Decompose requirements into hardware, software, and test tasks.
• Lead Agile planning, sprint execution, and backlog refinement.
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies across teams.
• Develop budgets, earned value, and resource allocation.
• Create multi-year technology roadmaps for data bus strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers in requirements development and lab practices.
• Lead design reviews and drive continuous improvement.
