Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Level 3 Spray Coating Operator in Kent, WA to apply aerospace primers and topcoats on varied substrates. You will handle HVLP equipment, set up conventional and airless pots, and maintain coatings per specified tolerances.

The role requires problem solving, good teamwork, and strict safety adherence. The successful candidate will work Monday–Friday, 2pm–10:30pm, with training on day shift for 1–3 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in aerospace primer/topcoat spray.
• NESHAP Operator Certification per 40 CFR Part 63 Subpart HHHHHH.
• Extensive HVLP spray equipment knowledge (pressure, gravity, siphon) and ID pots.
• Ability to read work instructions and maintain safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions for coating type, thickness and tolerance.
• Load, adjust and light-maintain HVLP coating equipment.
• Set up and operate conventional and airless ID pots, pumps and guns.
• Apply primers and topcoats to varied substrates and geometries.
• Maintain safety practices and share best technical practices.
• Cross-train in racking, turning, sanding and paint mixing.
