Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Manufacturing Painter B to join the Coatings Team. You will apply protective coatings and operate paint equipment to achieve aerospace-grade finishes on detail parts and assemblies. This second-shift position requires following drawings, schematics, and procedures, maintaining a clean, safe work area, and documenting work.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or "D" Weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Apply various protective coatings, primers, paints, inks, and finishes to detail parts and assemblies.
• Operate paint equipment and facilities following drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions.
• Prepare surfaces, apply masking, and verify accuracy using precision measuring tools.
• Rework parts as required and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Document work and communicate any issues to supervisors.
